Further to today’s announcement of the public procurement procedure for design and building of Zheleznista tunnel within the Lot 3.1 of Struma motorway Transparency International Bulgaria and the National Company “Strategic Infrastructure projects” signed and opened for accession Integrity Pact.
The Integrity Pact is a tool for prevention of corrupt behaviour and misuse of public funds which is developed by Transparency International. The IP is a contract between the contracting authority and the tenderers and allows for monitoring of the procedure by a third party – the independent observer. The Pact stipulates rules for implementation of the monitoring and special commitments of all parties.
The present Integrity Pact is opened for accession to all bidders in the public procurement. The full text of the Pact is available here.
The initiative is implemented within the “Integrity Pacts – Civil control mechanisms for safeguarding EU funds, Phase 2” project funded by the European Commission.
