
Today the commitment for cooperation between TI – Bulgaria and the “Road Infrastructure” Agency (RIA) has been officially validated. The Addendum to the Integrity Pact was signed by Mr Kalin Slavov – Executive Director of Transparency International – Bulgaria and by Mr Lazar Lazarov – Head of the Management Board of RIA.
Pursuant the Road Law amendment of April 2016, the National Company “Strategic Infrastructure Projects” was terminated and all its activities were transited to the “Road Infrastructure” Agency. The Independent Observer and the Contracting Authority will implement an Integrity Pact to the public procurement procedure for Design and build of Struma motorway Lot 3.1 Zheleznitsa tunnel.
The Integrity Pact is opened for accession to all bidders in the tender.
Transparency International – Bulgaria is conducting an independent civil monitoring over the contracting procedure for build of a 2-kilometers long tunnel, which will be the longest in the country. Zheleznitsa tunnel is a part of the Blagoevgrad – Krupnik segment of the Struma motorway.
