Representatives of Transparency International – Bulgaria and the American Chamber of Commerce in Bulgaria held a meeting on February 15, 2012. Subject of discussion was the possible cooperation between the two organizations as part of the advocacy campaign and promotion of the Integrity Pact concept.

 

Several possibilities for support to the initiative of TI-Bulgaria by the American Chamber of Commerce in Bulgaria were also clarified, among which are:

• Exchange of information with Transparency International – Bulgaria with regard to code of ethics and specific mechanisms for application of integrity policies that are used by AmCham member companies.
• Participation in training seminars organized by TI – Bulgaria, where representatives of the American Chamber of Commerce in Bulgaria would have the opportunity to share experiences in the implementation of integrity and compliance policies employed by American companies in Bulgaria and worldwide.
• Dissemination of information with regard to the Integrity Pact concept among AmCham members and possible adoption of the practice by companies taking part in public procurement tender procedures in Bulgaria.
